The Moment Data Behind Hitting $100K on Kickstarter

The last 28 hours have been unbelievable.

We were actually nervous before the Kickstarter campaign launched. Even though we spent five months talking to dozens of picture takers as part of this project, we still had no idea what the response would be.

Thankfully, the last 28 hours have been overwhelmingly positive. We never imagined breaking $50K in 28 hours, let alone $100K!

In creating Moment we also spent a lot of time around the table talking about the culture we want to build. We all believe that culture is really important and as part of that culture, being open is  a key tenant of what we believe. We appreciate how brands like  @vsco, @buffer@FiftyThree, @patagonia, and @zappos tell the world what is really going on. We want to do the same.

In our desire to create an open culture, we wanted to share publicly the results of our first 28 hours on Kickstarter. Reaching a $100K is a big accomplishment and we couldn’t have done it without everyone’s support.
